One thing I will note right away, it would be nice to only try and connect things when I release them. Without that control, it would be very hard to make any kind of order to what I am trying to do. As a idea though, kinda interesting.
Based on recent flavor and food network research, try to connect two random ingredients with as few links as possible between them. Ingredients must share 20% or more flavor molecules for a link to be created.
This is an early early prototype, and is currently not winnable. Development will continue during the next week (June 4- June 14).

Thanks for the comments. I actually have a new version that is just as you describe: you can place the ingredients anywhere you want, and connect them using draggable node connections. I'm waiting until I can flesh out some other gameplay ideas related to flavor before I release it, but I hope you'll take a look at it in the future.
